If you've not been on Instagram (or TikTok, for that matter) within the last 24 hours, you may be none the wiser to Kim Kardashian's Idaho lake weekend that she has taken with her daughter, North West. Of course, as one does, Kim documented the days' adventures on her IG story, including a super impressive video of her wakeboarding. Surfs up 🤙🏼.
And whilst we were all impressed with her sporting abilities, what we were a little more preoccupied with was the selfie that she shared after the fact. I mean, how is it that she can look so good after all that cardio? Personally, I could never...
In the pic, Kim shows off her post-wakeboarding windswept look, with a caption that reads: 'after boat hair'. As we can see below, Kim's locks now have a natural flat wave with some added volume in the root thanks to the lake's salt water. Or was it the sea? Who knows...
Now to achieve this look, we have two options: you too can make like Kim and jump on a boat for a quick half-an-hour round trip. Or if that's not at all feasible (bc same – I don't have a boat on hand either) you can read and shop our guide on the best hair curling tools.
Equally, if you already have a natural soft wave, for some more oomph why not add in a few spritzes of sea salt or texture spray? Two of our favourites are the Andrew Fitzsimons APRES SEXE Texture Spray, £9 and the Bumble and bumble Surf Spray, £26.
We like to call this: the undone flat waves 'do. An effortlessly chic look and with minimal effort, too! A win-win if you ask me.
