As a fashion lover, nothing gets me more excited than a collaboration between an affordable brand and a designer label—especially as someone with expensive taste and a limited budget. And lately, they're everywhere. From Isabel Marant x Havaianas to H&M x Stella McCartney and the wildly popular Audemars Piguet x Swatch crossover, these partnerships continue to prove just how much people love a high-low fashion moment.
The latest collab everyone’s been anticipating? Melissa x Diesel. And, it’s here! Officially launching today, it marks the second drop ever from the two brands, and it's bringing Diesel's signature edgy aesthetic to Melissa's cult-favorite footwear in a fresh new way. Plus, a new handbag makes its debut as the first-ever accessory from this collab…and, yes, I immediately added it to my cart.
For the second drop, the collaboration's iconic silhouettes—the Quantum Thong Flip Flop, Quantum Platform, and Quantum Sneaker—return in new colorways. Inspired by the futuristic theme, the hues (a metallic silver, a saturated navy, and a transparent green) amplify the bold, sculptural design of each style that has become a standout of the Melissa x Diesel partnership. With prices ranging from $149 to $319, the shoes are relatively accessible for a high-profile capsule like this.
The hero piece, though, has to be the Quantum Dome Bag. Available in silver and black, it has that same swirly design and funky vibe seen throughout the footwear collection. It’s also surprisingly functional, with enough space to fit your daily essentials: phone, keys, wallet, and a few beauty must-haves. Price-wise, it lands at $199, which feels like a steal compared to most Diesel accessories, which go for $400+.
Honestly, I can already see everything from this drop living in my vacation rotation, especially the platform sandals and the under bag that still feels unreal for being under $200. FYI: It’s a limited-edition drop, and last year’s collection sold out in under a week, so I wouldn’t wait on this one.
