It seems like Taylor Frankie Paul’s second-chance romance from her scrapped season of The Bachelorette may be working out after all.
On April 29, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Taylor and the reported winner of her season, Doug Mason, are “seeing each other” again and are “trying to make it work” amid rumors that the network might eventually air her season next year.
“They were hanging out recently and want to see if they can get back together and be a couple,” the insider added.
Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette was pulled three days before it was set to premiere in March amid a domestic dispute with her ex, Dakota Mortensen, which also led to a production pause on her other reality show, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Once her season was canceled, Doug publicly supported Taylor with a video posted to his Instagram Stories, where he said, “In light of everything that has happened, I am just sending prayers to Taylor because that was her moment and her moment was blocked.”
Recent developments in their reported romance come after Disney’s reality chief, Rob Mills, hinted that season 22 of The Bachelorette may air after all. While chatting with The Hollywood Reporter on April 22, he admitted that he doesn’t know whether Taylor’s season will ever air on ABC or stream on Hulu but is taking everything “a day at a time.”
He continued, “Everything concerning Taylor, first and foremost, is that we’re making sure anything she needs on a human level is taken care of, and then we can talk about anything from the show perspective.”
Back in March, another source told TMZ that Taylor’s season 22 contestants would likely be given another chance to find love on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise, though they noted “it’s unclear how many might get that opportunity.”
