If you haven’t already binge-watched the debut series of Love Is Blind UK, we can only assume you’ve been living under a reality TV rock. Just like with the U.S. version, we were treated to plenty of flirting and drama from the six-couple cast—all surrounded by the most stunning Greek backdrop for our ultimate viewing pleasure.

However, it’s recently come to light that while we only watched the journeys of six couples, there were five extra engagements that weren’t shown. This was revealed by 27-year-old Shirley, a junior doctor from London, who also took part in the social experiment. She explained the following in a TikTok video: “Netflix published a cast of 15 women and 15 men. Although you see a total of six engagements, 11 [couples from] our cast got engaged. There were only four of us who did not get engaged—and I was one of them. So that’s a little bit embarrassing!”

Following this revelation, it’s now been revealed that Olivia, a 28-year-old creative project director from London, actually got engaged to 31-year-old Conor, a health food business owner from Dublin. And apparently, the two felt an “instant connection.” (Like any reality dating show, there were some initial bumps in the road—this one, in particular, involving a love triangle—but before they left the pods, they pledged their commitment to each other with a ring.)

Upon “meeting” for the first time, Conor told Netflix’s Tudum, “Olivia was incredibly beautiful and lit up the whole room. It was intense and passionate and just a relief to be able to finally physically be with each other.”

Olivia, for her part, added, “I just felt safe. And let’s be realistic here—who wouldn’t be delighted to see Conor at the reveal?”

The two then shared that they followed in their fellow cast members’s footsteps and booked their own Grecian holiday without the cameras—essentially to find out whether they were still compatible and to get to know each other more.

Olivia explained, “We continued to talk about our future, what it could look like, what we wanted to do next, and where we would live to make the relationship work, all over a lot of wine on the beach.”

But sadly, when the couple touched down in their respective homes, they soon found that being long-distance—and their very different lives—meant things weren’t going to work out in the long haul. The two cited their work schedules and limited time together as the catalyst to their breakup, with Olivia confessing that the split was “extremely hard.”

Conor admitted, “Connecting in the pods is a very specific situation and removes a lot of the circumstances of real life from the equation. Entering back into the real world poses challenges to the relationship. In the end, we decided it would be better to remain as friends.”

Luckily, it seems the former couple kept their promise, with Olivia and Conor noting that they still remain close after ending on “amicable terms and have a huge amount of respect for each other.” Conor expressed that it “wasn’t a coincidence” that their connection was so strong.

“I feel extremely fortunate for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and to have experienced it with such an incredible person like Conor,” Olivia added.

Happy these two ended on such great terms!
