Another day, another wild report about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. As you’ve probably heard, the couple is (allegedly!) getting married right smack in the middle of New York City at Madison Square Garden, which sounded completely unbelievable at first but actually kinda makes sense thanks to heightened security, lack of windows (no pap pics), and underground parking.
But if you’ve been wondering how Taylor and Travis will turn a full-blown arena into an intimate wedding venue, apparently it’ll involve building a stage. TMZ reports that the couple commissioned a “massive stage” that’s “being secretly built at a Pennsylvania production facility” where bands sometimes rehearse before tour. The construction of the stage is “under lock and key with security guards patrolling the area.”
So…what’s it being used for? Only Taylor and Travis know for sure, but sources tell TMZ a band will “be present” and that some of the couple’s guests—many of whom are professional singers—“will be invited to hop on stage and take the mic.”
Sources previously told the Daily Mail that Taylor and Travis’s wedding itself won’t be at MSG, explaining “There is a private and highly secure ceremony planned for her closest family and friends.” They also noted that “There is something associated with MSG,” and TMZ reports that said “something” appears to be the reception. Per the outlet, the wedding ceremony will take place ahead of July 3 with a smaller guest list, while the MSG event will host 1,000 friends and family members.
