ICYMI, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were photographed having an ultra chic date night in London on Saturday, May 9. Your favorite pop star stepped out in one of her most killer looks in recent weeks—and one of the items she wore had a pretty affordable price tag (well, at least for a pop star).
Taylor wore a black silk lingerie camisole with a matching black silk midi skirt by Fleur du Mal—officially titled the Juliet Lace Silk Skirt—which featured super sexy lace details and a relaxed fit. While Taylor decided to match with the STAUD Evangeline Top in black silk to make it look like a set, this sweet piece would look just as incredible with a casual white tank or a tube top, if that’s your jam.
Also worth noting: The skirt is available in sizes XS through L…but considering that the “Taylor Swift Effect” (i.e. selling items out instantly after she wears or promotes them) is a thing, I’d act fast.
Taylor’s signature red lip was present for her and Travis’s date night, but she switched things up slightly by adding a leather trench coat over her outfit. It’s a little different than what we’re used to seeing on Tay, but let’s not forget—she has admitted that experimentation is a very crucial part of having style…within reason, of course.
“I think that as much as you should be creative and experiment, there are certain things I know are fads, and so I try to steer clear of most of the obvious ones,” she told Glamour back in 2014. “I play the tape of my life forward and don't wear the things that my kids or grandkids will make fun of me for wearing, [like] ‘Wow, cool, Mom, cool cowboy boots that you were wearing constantly in 2006!’”
She later gave an update on her fashion philosophy in a 2019 interview with ELLE: “Fashion is all about playful experimentation. If you don’t look back at pictures of some of your old looks and cringe, you’re doing it wrong. See: Bleachella.”
