Daisy Edgar-Jones is the internet’s new It Girl, thanks, in part, to her upcoming roles in Sense and Sensibility, Here Comes the Flood, and—most recently announced—Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow. But I’ve personally been obsessed with her since Normal People, where her on-screen romance with Paul Mescal’s Connell seriously had me hooked.
But who is Daisy Edgar-Jones dating in real life? Here’s a look back on her relationship history (and no, it does not include Paul, despite the many, many fans hoping they’d become an IRL couple).
Tom Varey, 2018 to 2021
Before Daisy shot into public consciousness in Normal People (released in 2020), she was dating fellow actor Tom Varey, after reportedly meeting on the set of the 2018 limited series Pond Life.
Daisy opened up about their romance during an appearance on the How to Failpodcast in 2020, telling Elizabeth Day what it was like watching her own sex scenes back with her partner.
“My boyfriend, actually, he was amazing because what a tricky thing to watch,” she said. “He loves the series, thank goodness, that’s something I’m very relieved about, but there was a moment in episode six where he was like, ‘This is a bit weird! Oh, this is weird!’ and we all had to acknowledge that it was a bit weird, and then it was fine!”
The pair lived together during lockdown that year, but news of their split came in October 2021 when The Sunreported, “They got on really well during lockdown last year, but they’re both young and passionate about following their careers. Daisy has been inundated with opportunities and feels she has to put them first, Tom’s also really dedicated to his acting and wants the best for both of them.”
Ben Seed, 2023 to now
Rumors that Daisy was dating Anya Taylor-Joy’s ex-boyfriend, photographer Ben Seed (who goes by the professional name of Pip), first broke in September 2023. A source told The Sun, “Daisy and Pip got together earlier this year and have become inseparable.”
The insider continued, “They have both had some free time this summer and love hanging out in Broadway Market in East London, just going to bars and spending time together. There’s a real spark there and they are excited about finding each other. They’ve already met one another’s friends and she is on cloud nine.”
The pair then became red carpet official the following November at the GQ Men of the Year Awards, and in February 2024, they posed at the BAFTAs together. Since then, they’ve been spotted together at everything from Glastonbury to Wimbledon, keeping things low-key and cute.
Most recently, they were photographed together at a February 2026 event in London.
So it seems they’re going strong!
