Emma Chamberlain spent this week minding her business, thriving as a red carpet host, and being one of the best-dressed celebrities at the 2026 Met Gala. Meanwhile, her exes are choosing chaos.

Fans noticed that Emma’s rumored ex, Peter McPoland, hopped on TikTok yesterday (just one day after Emma was dominating headlines for her iconic Met Gala look) with a cover of her other ex Role Model’s song, “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out.”

The song choice did NOT go unnoticed by fans, with comments like “The amount of screen time it takes to understand the weight of this,” “i’m crying what is your problem 😭😭,” “is this allowed,” “Me deciding to be messy on a random weekday,” “I let out an audible gasp,” and “Trying to take her met gala spotlight is crazy work.”

In case you’re new to all this, Emma and Peter started dating in 2024 but kept things pretty private. In November 2025, Emma confirmed that they were done on her Anything Goes podcast, noting she was “going through a breakup” after being in a “serious relationship that was two years long” and saying “We really deeply loved each other.”

Meanwhile, she and Role Model were together from 2020 to 2023, and much of Role Model’s album, Kansas Anymore, is about her. “I don’t have an ounce of anger in me… I think it shows in the album; it’s pretty much [me] just beating myself up,” he toldVanity Fair .“I don’t think it would be any news to her. I would never want to hurt someone’s feelings with my music. I don’t have that in my brain or heart.”
