It finally happened: Taylor Swift revealed her last The Life of a Showgirl vinyl variant (for now). And this time, it’s all about the diamonds. Like the variants before it, The Life of a Showgirl: The Crowd Is Your King is a limited-edition piece that features a unique album cover and photos, including one of Taylor wearing an Elizabeth Taylor-inspired corset.

Real Swifties know that Taylor and Elizabeth go way back. The singer has paid tribute to the famous movie star in both song lyrics and in her personal life, and The Life of a Showgirl promises to be her biggest homage yet, with a song literally called “Elizabeth Taylor.” But of course, a song title isn’t enough for Taylor—if she’s doing a bit, she’s going all in. Hence her specific corset choice in The Life of a Showgirl: The Crowd Is Your King promotional photo.

Taylor’s shiny, blush-colored corset, adorned with sparkly gems, is from The Blonds’ 2023 fall collection and was specifically inspired by Elizabeth. It’s hard to tell in the photo, but the corset features a huge, 3D jewel on the chest, meant to reflect the actor’s love of diamonds.

Here’s a better look at the ’fit, below:

“This is sort of a tribute to Elizabeth Taylor, one of our style icons,” said designer David Blond before the show, per Page Six. “And the idea of falling in and out of love.”

Taylor could just be paying homage to Elizabeth with this look—but this is Taylor thee Swift we’re talking about, so there’s always more than meets the eye. So, what does the corset mean?

My best guess is that Taylor is telling us something about her song “Elizabeth Taylor.” The actor famously fell in and out of love a lot—she was married eight times, twice to Richard Burton (hence the “...Ready For It?” lyric, “He can be my jailer, Burton to this Taylor”)—so perhaps the track is about Taylor looking back at all her exes. Or maybe it’s about being independent enough to buy your own diamonds (no offense to the giant engagement ring from Travis Kelce).

It could also be a reference to Taylor’s friendship with Keleigh Teller. Back in 2023, Keleigh gave Taylor an extravagant opal ring surrounded by blue topaz that the singer said looked like it should be for Elizabeth Taylor.

Keleigh’s response? “You’re my Elizabeth Taylor.”

Now is the time for theories. The Life of a Showgirl comes out Friday, October 3.
