Married At First Sight Australia fans, we've got some bad news to kick your week off with: Filip and Stella have split, despite being one of the only couples to make it through final vows. Say it ain't so!
Back in spring, MAFSAU once again took over our lives, with season 13 airing nightly on E4. The beauty technician and carpenter carried a quiet confidence all the way through the experiment, channeling their energies into strengthening their communication and cementing their relationship. So much so, that at Final Vows, Filip got down on one knee and proposed for real.
The show was filmed in Australia during the second half of 2025, airing from February 2026. And since then, the pair have given fans an insight into their relationship on social media, often sharing loved up photos and cute couple pics.
But sadly it sounds like it wasn't to be, with their relationship coming to an end. According to a source at Mail Online, "It was ultimately Filip who decided to end things. He'd been wrestling with it for a while and eventually realised they just weren't on the same page about what they wanted out of life.
"There wasn't some huge explosive fight. It was more of a slow realisation that they were heading in different directions. People around them had noticed the distance for a little while. With Filip based in Melbourne for work and Stella spending more time with friends in Sydney, they were living quite separate lives."
Stella then appeared to acknowledge the breakup on Instagram, with a post which explained how it "would be easy to tell this story by deciding who was right and who was wrong. To point fingers. To protect my ego. To pretend I was perfect. But no. I’m not here for that. Far from it. I made mistakes. I have regrets."
She went on to say how she had learned many lessons from the experience, and that "this relationship quietly revealed something I couldn’t see before".
"Love isn’t only about having a good heart. It’s about the impact we leave on the heart standing opposite ours," she shared. "Without this experience, I probably would have continued believing that my urgency, my directness, my need to know, and my constant drive forward were simply signs of ambition.
"But this relationship quietly revealed something I couldn’t see before. Sometimes, sitting quietly beside that ambition…was fear."
Here's to hoping both Stella and Filip are doing OK - we're sending them lots of love.
