In April, Rolling Stone magazine will publish an investigation into its controversial article on an alleged rape at the University of Virginia, the magazine says.

The article detailed the gang rape of an undergraduate Rolling Stone called "Jackie" at a UVA fraternity house, shocking readers across the country and spurring a national debate on campus sexual assault. But as the story spread, there were inconsistencies, and it became clear that Rolling Stone had not independently corroborated all the relevant aspects of Jackie's story. The magazine apologized and enlisted Columbia Journalism School dean Steve Coll to review the story and publish his findings. Coll, the magazine says, has not yet filed his piece, but they expect it to be published in early April.
