Sound the horns! Mother Oprah just dropped her annual Favorite Things List, and it's filled with tonssss of fashion, beauty, home, and tech goodies that would make incredible holiday gifts this year. Basically, this is the perfect one-stop shop to get all your holiday shopping done for every single loved one. (And you already know that if it's Oprah-approved, it's gotta be good. No ifs, ands, or buts!) My personal fave? The Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses.
For the uninitiated, these smart specs look exactly like Ray-Ban's classic styles—Wayfarer, Skyler, Headliner—except they have a little built-in camera, speaker, and Meta AI technology. *Insert mind-blown gif here*. This means you can take photos and videos just by asking it to. Yep, totally hands-free! All you have to say is "Hey Meta, take a photo/video" and the accessory will instantly snap content from your POV...literally. Heck, you can even ask it the general question, “Hey Meta, what am I looking at right now?” and she’ll come through (the number of times I’ve asked…) Other features include live streaming, making/taking calls, and listening to music sans headphones.. And P.S.: You can get them in sunglasses, prescription, and bluelight form.!
I was able to get my hands on the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Skyler Sunglasses over the summer and if I'm gonna be totally honest, saying I love them would be an understatement. As someone who lives in New York City, these come in so clutch when I'm on the subway or walking the streets and I wanna listen to music or talk to my mom on the phone without my hearing being totally blocked (gotta stay aware of my surroundings!). Taking photos and videos with these feel like I'm capturing memories with my eyes and it's truly the coolest thing ever. Pls enjoy these crystal clear photos me and my work wife Hannah Chubb took of each other in these glasses. Consider us absolutely floored by this wizardry.
With all that being said, I say Oprah knows what she's talking about. (Surprise, surprise!) Not to be dramatic, but like kind of being dramatic, IDK what life was like before I owned these.
