What with world university rankings and the Russell Group universities list, students can be aware of the top universities and most prestigious establishments before they even apply to go there.
But that doesn't necessarily equate into the highest salaries five years after graduating. In fact, while Oxford and Cambridge are regarded as the top universities in the country in many world rankings, London School Of Economics and Imperial College London graduates actually earn more on average.
The data looked at the total number of undergraduates who enrolled at British universities in 2016/2017, before working out the medium graduate earnings five year after graduating. Please note: the medium salary is accurate for graduates who identify as female.
