As two of the most high-profile members of the Royal Family – second only to King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla – it's no wonder that Prince William and Kate Middleton are regularly seen out and about carrying out their many, many royal duties. But this month the pair have been noticeably missing from the royal circuit, and the reason for that is pretty relatable.
The Prince and Princess of Wales have put a pause on royal duties because of their three children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – who are on their Easter half term break from school. The trio currently attend Lambrook School in Berkshire, following the family's move to Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Estate. According to the school's website, half term runs from Friday 24 March to Wednesday 19 April – so the children will be making their way back to school tomorrow.
Kate's last known royal duty was on 21 March when she hosted the first meeting of the new taskforce for Early Childhood in London. Similarly, William has kept a low-key royal profile as of late, and his last royal engagement was a visit to Poland on 23 March where he met with groups of Ukrainian refugees who have fled their homeland due to the Russian invasion.
The couple last appeared in public together – not on royal duty – on 9 April 2023 to attend the Easter Sunday church service at St George's Chapel on the Windsor Estate. William and Kate were joined by their three children, including George who took centre stage at the service, as well as other members of the Royal Family.
We hope the family of five are enjoying their time off!
