The (metaphorical) sun has nearly set on what's been an iconic four-day bank holiday weekend. Although the weather didn't *quite* play along, the epic festivities celebrating the Queen's history-making Platinum Jubilee have gone off without a hitch, much to the delight of royal fans who have been watching the events. And one moment in particular from today's Platinum Pageant has really got royal followers talking.
Cue Prince Louis who, despite being one of the youngest royals, has this week proven himself to be one of the most charismatic. As we all witnessed last Thursday, the Jubilee events kicked off with the Royal Family appearing on the infamous Buckingham Palace balcony for the Trooping the Colour. But, whilst the royals were watching the planes fly overhead, the rest of us were watching Prince Louis as he stole the show with his hilarious face-pulling... and he just did it again at today's Platinum Pageant.
Much like excited viewers at home (who opted to avoid the rain and tune in from the comfort of their sofas), Prince Louis watched the Platinum Jubilee Pageant as it made its way through the city, telling the story of the Queen’s 70-year reign and how this has transformed society.
"The Pageant will serve as an opportunity to gather and pay tribute to Her Majesty. It will culminate with the singing of the National Anthem, 'God Save the Queen' and a gospel choir to the sounds of the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines," the Royal Family's website said of the event. "10,000 people are involved [in the Pageant] including the military, over 6,000 volunteers, performers, key workers and 2,500 members of the general public."
But, despite the 10,000 people taking part in the Pageant, all eyes were once again on Prince Louis as the procession made its way along The Mall in London.
"Louis is definitely the star of pageant, he’s absolutely adorable," one royal fan wrote on Twitter, as someone else said: "Our Boss Baby." A third person shared a clip of the little royal's reaction to a lion costume, with another royal fan sharing an unforgettable photo along with the caption: "The very essence of Prince Louis of Cambridge."
Everyone's clicking on...
"It's literally the Prince Louis Pageant," another royal viewer tweeted, as someone else agreed with: "It’s not the Platinum Jubilee Pageant anymore, it’s the Prince Louis Show."
"Prince Louis presided over the royal box today like a boss," an eagle-eyed viewer added to the conversation, with another royal fan saying, "Prince Louis just overloading the pageant with cuteness and humour."
