Meghan Markle delighted royal fans this week when she shared an unseen photo of her two-year-old son, Archie Harrison, who looks identical to his dad Prince Harry. In the photo, we can clearly see the young Royal has inherited his father's vibrant red hair, and if we didn't know any better, we'd have thought this was a photo of Harry from 1986.
During her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Duchess of Sussex gave us all an insight into the little one's life, revealing he loves to help out in the family's garden. As well as showing off his likeness to Prince Harry, the photo shows the two-year-old collecting eggs from the chicken coop (aptly named Archie's Chick Inn, according to Meghan) at their family home in Montecito.
Although he has his back to the camera so we can't see his face, Archie looks adorable wearing a cosy blue jumper with jeans and yellow Hunter x Peppa Pig wellington boots. Très fashion.
Speaking about the photo, presenter Ellen, who lives near the family in California, said: "He’s so sweet with the chickens... Archie is just such a gentle soul." Over on Twitter, fans couldn't get enough of the adorable snap either. "Meghan Markle showing Archie with his chickens on Ellen is PRECIOUS," tweeted one person, with another adding "OOOMMMGGGGGGGG ARCHIE. He’s so grown. Lil Bubba not so little no more."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have notoriously kept the identities of their two children, Archie and Lilibet Diana, hidden from the public. Archie has only made a few public appearances since he was born in 2019, most notably joining his parents on their royal tour of Africa later that year. While the couple are yet to share a photo of their daughter, who was born earlier this year in June, they did share a new photo of Archie to celebrate his second birthday in May.
Despite that, Meghan gave a rare update about baby Lili during her time on Ellen's show, revealing that the little one has started teething. "Lili's now teething," Meghan announced, before admitting she's still looking for ideas to help relieve her daughter's pain. "Tequila, anything," Ellen joked in response, to which Meghan laughed: "That’s Auntie Ellen for you."
"That’s why I don’t have kids," Ellen replied.
