Right now we are in peak January mood. The rain is relentless, all our friends are doing Dry January, and the news is less than optimistic. However, it also means we're spending a lot of time in our favourite place - bed. Whether it's hunkering down to watch the latest episode of The Traitors with a cup of tea, curling up with our latest read, or simply catching up on some much needed sleep, we've dedicated a lot of time to our beds.

And just because it's dark and grey outside, it doesn't mean our bedrooms need to be. Which is why we're looking for easy and afforable ways to inject some much needed colour into our rooms. Enter: Next's reversible blue and white gingham duvet set.

Gingham is one of those easy timeless prints that works for a variety of decor styles, and this blue print in particular works well with a neutral room to give a burst of colour. Or if your room has lots of orange, and peach, or even burgundy tones the blue works well to give a vibrant contrast, that's not overwhelming. And it also works well with other softer pastels too like lilac and yellows. Basically, it'll work in all room styles, which is why we love it so much.

It's also reversible so the print extends across the whole set and each set apart from the single comes with two matching pillowcases. We'd then pair with two single white pillowcases.

The duvet set is made with a mix of polyester and cotton, meaning it's easy to wash and requires minimal ironing, aka more time to enjoy sleeping in it. And don't just take it from us, many shoppers have raved about the set, with one Next reviewer commenting, "Lovely bedding which is exactly what I was looking for. The fabric is lovely to sleep under." Another said: "Lovely duvet cover good quality and fresh looking blue and white check."
