If you thought the only cocktail you could make with rum was a mojito, think again. These rum cocktail recipes are going to change your happy hour order, because who needs gin cocktails or even Prosecco cocktails when you could have a dark and stormy, a Dr Funk or The Perfect Storm? Rum cocktails galore!
Rum cocktails - Notoriously fashioned
Add 50ml Sly Dog spiced rum, 1 Dash Orange Bitters, 2 bar spoons of salted caramel and 1 bar spoon maple syrup into a rocks glass with ice cubes and stir. Serve with an orange peel.
Rum cocktails - Belizean Reef Water

Mix 50ml Copalli Barrel Rested Rum with the juice of a whole lemon and a wedge of lime, before adding 1 teaspoon runny honey in a high ball glass. Top up with coconut water and (if you've got them), garnish with coconut flakes, lime wedge and mint leaves.
Rum cocktails - Cruel Coppinger
Pour 40ml Copalli White Rum, 10ml Aperol, 50ml Guava Juice and 15ml Lemon Juice into a cocktail shaker. Shake until completely blended, and then pour over an ice-filled highball glass and topping with tonic water. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a mint sprig.
Rum cocktails - Passionfruit Belizean Daiquiri
Pour 50ml of Copalli white into a cocktail shaker, before adding 2 parts passionfruit syrup and 1 part cinnamon syrup to create a Belizean mix. Then add 15ml of lemon juice and 15ml of sugar syrup and add crushed ice. Shake ingredients then strain into a coupe glass. Top your glass up with passionfruit juice and add a lime twist for garnish. Delicious!
Rum cocktails - Blackberry Pineapple Rum Cocktail
If you can get your hands on some fresh ingredients, this is so worth it. Mix dark rum and Grand Marnier with blackberry syrup (made from blackberries, sugar and water), with recipe fresh lime juice, pineapple juice and fresh blackberries on top. Lovely!

Mix together 25ml Old J Cherry Spiced Rum with cola, and bingo! Cherry coke with a kick.
Rum cocktails - Jungle Bird
To create a Jungle Bird, pour 37.5ml BACARDÍ Carta Blanca with 12.5ml Martini Bitter, 12.5ml Simple Syrup, 12.5ml Lime Juice and 50ml Pineapple Juice into a cocktail shaker. Strain into a highball glass and garnish with orange slice and pineapple leaf.
Rum cocktails - Lemon Sherbet
Mix 25ml Old J Spiced Rum with 5ml fresh lime. Top with Ting (a fizzy Caribbean drink), and serve over ice, garnish with a wedge of lime
Rum cocktails - Shiso Spritz
Fill a glass with cubed ice, cucumber ribbons and a sprig of mint, before topping it with 25ml BACARDÍ Carta Blanca, 3 Shiso leaves and 50ml Cloudy apple juice.
The Black Espresso
In a cocktail shaker, pour 50ml Kraken Rum, 15ml Sugar Syrup and 1 shot of espresso, before straining over ice and topping with white chocolate.
Rum cocktails - Dr Funk
Prepare a high ball glass and pour 45ml BACARDÍ Carta Blanca, 25ml Absinthe, 15ml Grenadine and 20ml Lime juice into it to create a Dr Funk. One word: lethal.
Rum cocktails - Rhubarb Daiquiri
In a cocktail shaker, mix 50ml BACARDÍ Carta Blanca and 20ml Rhubarb liqueur wirh 25ml Lime juice and 10ml Simple syrup, bfore straining into a coupette glass.
The Old Kraken
Pour 50ml Kraken Rum, 10ml sugar syrup and 5ml of aromatic liqueur into a glass, before adding 4 dashes of aromatic bitters and topping with an orange zest twist.
The Perfect Storm
An easy mix of 25ml Kraken rum with 250ml ginger beer to make a long drink topped with a lime wedge.
Rum cocktails - Banana Colada
This totally counts as one of your five a day, right? Make your own with 25ml BACARDÍ Carta Oro, 25ml BACARDÍ Carta Blanca, 25ml Coco Lopez, 25ml Pineapple juice, 25ml Banana pureé and 25ml Lime juice. Now that is an intricate recipe.
Rum cocktails - Kraken Caramel
Got a sweet tooth? Try mixing 30ml Kraken Black Spiced Rum with 50ml Caramel sauce and 30ml Earl Grey Tea. Garnish with pecan nuts and stroopwafels, for an extra sugary kick.
Rum cocktails - Ginger Snap
Create a ginger snap by combining 40ml BACARDÍ Ginger, 10ml Cointreau, 1 dash Angostura bitters, 12.5ml Lemon juice and 50ml Soda water in a tall glass. Refreshing.

Combine 50ml Gosling's Gold Bermuda Rum with the juice of 1/2 a lime, 3 drops of Angostura bitters, 1 cinnamon stick and 150ml Schweppes Premium Ginger Ale to create this classic rum cocktail.
