It's true that everything is better in a white chocolate version, which is why people are already so obsessed with Poundland's £1 Malteser dupes.

While Maltesers stopped making the white chocolate version four years ago, Poundland have just launched their 'White Chocolate Malt Balls' - little balls of honeybomb malt surrounded by white chocolate. Yum.

They launched in 850 stores this week [27 August] for £1, with Poundland's Trading Controller, Chris Burns commenting: "We're bringing back one of the nation's favourite!

"Poundland has the biggest balls on the high street and now they come covered in white chocolate. Head down to store and pick up a box, the perfect gift for your friends and family or just grab a delicious treat for yourself - you've waited long enough."

People on Twitter are already loving the new release, with one user writing, "Glad to see Poundland cashing in on @MaltesersUK refusing to bring back white Maltesers 😀"

Another added, "PSA: Poundland are selling white chocolate Maltesers, omg!!!", while a third wrote, "For all you people who loved the white chocolate Maltesers until they discontinued them, well my research means Poundland will save your lives."

That's our weekend plans sorted.
