Now that we're officially into December, it's time to start thinking about your Christmas party outfit! Which, for most of us, likely means a party dress. A fail-safe for the festive season, there are plenty of party dress trends to turn to this winter from classic LBDs to sheer fabrications. However, our favourite is undoubtedly sequins.
There's no denying sequins' close association with party season, a notion backed by the autumn/winter 2025 runways as seen at Ashish, Erdem, Etro, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Mithridate and more. Similarly, The Fashion Awards 2025 presented by Pandora held last night [Monday 1 December] in London proved sequin styles come celebrity-approved, with sparkly gowns, alongside see-through dresses, both standout trends on the red carpet.
Of course, you don't have to limit yourself to repping just one trend. This Mango sequin dress with open back ticks off an impressive four (!!) – all in one look.
