The easiest (and often more budget friendly!) way to update all your summer outfits for the new season is undoubtedly with jewellery. Especially when the heatwave hits and all you can bare putting on is a simple t-shirt and shorts or a floaty summer dress. Leave it to your accessories game to add some pizzazz without cranking up your internal body temperature in turn.

Whether you're a less-is-more minimalist or you like to stack on alllll the jewels, jewellery has the ability to instantly take an outfit from boring and blah to show stopping status. Luckily, this summer there is no shortage of chic AF jewellery trends to choose from spanning earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings and even anklets.

Unlike some fashion trends that leave you having to pick your tribe – are you all about butter yellow or doing dotty for polka dots? – there's a lot of crossover with jewellery styles meaning you can tick off multiple trends with one accessory, earning yourself even more style points. Win-win! To find out how, read on for the seven best jewellery trends worth knowing about for summer 2025.

Sea motifs

TikTok's fisherman aesthetic that was big news in the spring has led onto sardine girl summer. We've lost count of how many brands and influencers have released their own fish pendant necklace. But, that's not the only way to get in on the trend. There's plenty of fish – and sea horses, crabs, lobsters and other creatures – in the sea to adorn your jewellery of choice. Or, pick a pretty shell design for instant vacay vibes. Even if you're only heading to your local park for a spot of sunbathing.

Boho beads

This trend is all about having fun, so the more colourful your beads, the better! Opt for a chunkier beaded stlye with a pendant charm – bonus points if it's a sea motif charm so you can tick off two trends in one – or layer up multiple beaded styles in varying colourways intermixing with your everyday jewellery (think gold or silver chains) for plenty of boho charm. There's no avoiding the nostalgia of childhood summers, but that's a plus IMO.

Bangle stacks

Bracelets and bangles are getting supersized for chunky designs intended to be stacked up wrists. Look for multi-packs of resin and acrylic styles on the high street for an affordable way to get in on the look. For something more elegant and grown-up, try a sculptural metal cuff in your preferred finish of choice.

Modern pearls

These aren't your Grandma's pearls. For summer 2025, sculptural silhouettes, metal adornment and tactile textures are updating the ladylike look with a cool, contemporary feel, per the SS25 runways at Chloé, Bottega Veneta and even Chanel. No motter how modern, pearls are a timeless investment.

Charm offensive

The craze for customisation and individuality is showing no signs of slowing down, and the latest way ppl are injecting some personality into their ‘fit is with charm jewellery. Sure, you could dig out your old childhood charm bracelet to nail the vintage-inspired aesthetic, or have fun creating a charm necklace adorned with trinkets that represent who you are now. Alternatively, layer up your huggie hoops with maximum danglers. When it comes to this trend, more really is more.

Cool cords

Amonst the retro trends making a comeback, cord-strung necklaces and bracelets are the celeb-approved look that's got us in a collective chokehold RN. While boho pendant necklaces hang long around your necks, ideal for layering up with chunky chains, paracord bracelets give a laid-back, athleisure feel to even the most formal of ‘fits. It all depends on the vibe you want to create, but as long as it's not metal you can't really go wrong.

Mixed metals

Fashion is throwing out the rule book! No longer must you seperate your gold and silver jewellery. In fact, you're being actively enocuraged to wear them together. Some brands have done this for you by creating mixed metal pieces, but there's no reason you can't rifle through your jewellery box and curate your own mixed metal necklace, bracelet or ring stack. We love wearing a gold and silver ring together on one finger.
