When it comes to jewellery, my preferences change like the wind. One day I’ll be adorned with chunky silver rings on every finger and similarly hefty hoops in my ears, whereas the next, I might be more inclined to elevate my outfit with a thin gold necklace and dainty studs. When my accessorising goes hot and cold like the Katy Perry hit single, it can be hard to know where to shop to cater to all my style preferences. Enter: Pilgrim Jewellery.
You will be hard-pressed not to find something to your taste from the brand’s vast selection of products. From statement pieces to everyday essentials, Pilgrim makes it easy to establish a great accessory inventory.
Whilst their selection is extensive, Pilgrim really is *that girl* when it comes to new and trendy designs. Yes, they have some great essentials and more basic items, but my most complimented pieces are always the more experimental ones. Huge chunky bangles, thick chainlink necklaces, and hammered heart earrings – these are the ones I felt helped take some of my looks from basic to baddie. Being able to shop all your jewellery from one brand also means your rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets all match perfectly; gone are the days of ever-so-slightly mismatched shades of silver.
Although I do dabble in gold pieces when I want to feel a little more *classy*, silver jewellery is my go-to. Whatever your preference, all of the brand’s styles come in both metals. My favourite Pilgrim piece has to be their Kieran ring, a nice addition to my existing extensive collection of silver rings. Since it’s so chunky, it’s definitely a statement piece, but the actual design is very simple, meaning the shiny finish does all the talking.
I haven’t taken it off since it arrived in the post and at just £34.99, this has to be one of the hardest-working yet cost-effective pieces in my jewellery box. Not to mention, all of Pilgrim’s rings are completely adjustable and size-inclusive! Gone are the days of having to measure your ring size at home and money going to waste when it inevitably doesn’t fit.
Does Pilgrim Jewellery tarnish?
Pilgrim plates all their pieces with either 18k solid gold or sterling silver and, as with all plated jewellery, comes with a risk of oxidising. By making sure you take good care of your jewellery, oxidisation shouldn’t usually be an issue or happen overly quickly. I’ve been wearing my Pilgrim pieces every day for over a month and haven’t noticed any tarnishing yet, but I make sure to take off all my jewellery before showering and sleeping to give them the longest life possible. Avoiding direct contact with perfumes, makeup, and other heavily chemical-based products will also help the longevity of your trinkets.
However, one downside to some of the pieces (mainly the rings and bangles) was that they scuffed and scratched quite easily. It’s rare to see me without a ring on every finger and while the aesthetic is definitely worth my hands being always weighed down, it does mean my rings are constantly clanging and bumping each other. Let this be a word of warning to any of my fellow ‘more is more’ girlies.
Is Pilgrim Jewellery waterproof?
Again, since all of Pilgrim’s products are plated, they have more of a generous lifespan when kept out of water. Whilst they have held up short-term in the shower, pool, or ocean, it’s always advised to take your accessories off before going for a swim or relaxing in the bath.
If you’ve been feeling like your jewellery collection is a little lacklustre of late, then Pilgrim is a great brand to browse for inspiration and some seriously chic and on-trend pieces. Their prices are not to be sniffed at either. Not everyone can afford the Mejuri’s and Ottoman Hands of the jewellery industry, and you can be rest assured that, if taken care of correctly, these pieces will stand the test of time.
