When it comes to style, Meghan Markle has certainly proved that she likes to do things her way. After all, we can't imagine Kate Middleton ever posing for official photographs in a completely sheer dress.

That being said, it seems as though that Prince Harry's fiancé has still been taking some style advice from her soon-to-be sister-in-law. Which isn't surprising considering that Kate has already 'been there and done that', so to speak.

Ever since the couple announced their engagement, Meghan has been dressing in a certain way, and it's something that Kate Middleton has done for years.

Sure, the clothes they wear are very different, but the process behind choosing the designers is pretty similar.

Whenever the Duchess of Cambridge visits another country, for example, or attends an occasion with foreign dignitaries, she always endeavours to represent the nation through the clothes she wears.

By wearing a mix of both British and overseas designers, Kate practises 'sartorial diplomacy' and gives a subtle nod to both her home country and the one she is visiting.

So far, Meghan Markle has shown similar tact, choosing a mixture of both British and Canadian labels for her public appearances, which is where she moved here from.

In Nottingham, the almost royal bride wore a coat from Canadian label Mackage, and a skirt and shoes by British brands Joseph and Kurt Geiger.

And, on her most recent appearance in Brixton, Markle's M&S jumper got ALL the attention. She wore it with a coat by Canadian brand, Smythe.

We're looking forward to seeing what Meghan wears on her next outing with Prince Harry. Who knows, maybe she's been shopping in Topshop recently?!
