If you've been paying any attention to the Cosmo fashion section over the past week (I mean, we sure hope you have...) then you'll not just know that the Dune: Part Two press tour is currently underway, but you'll also know *exactly* what the cast have been wearing at each photo call and red carpet premiere. Yep, we have been paying close attention to every outfit Florence Pugh and Zendaya have stepped out in because, to put it simply, the stars have looked utterly fabulous. So much so, there's been little need to focus on Timothée Chalamet or Austin Butler – no offence, boys.
From matching white looks to crop tops and thigh-high leg slits, the key to the stars' style success has been in the Dune-coded details creating a futuristic feel in every ensemble and theme for the press tour as a whole. And ngl, we love a theme.
Of course, Flo and Zendaya *again* pulled out all the stops at the London premiere last night [Thursday 15 February], but dare we say they may have almost been upstaged by Anya Taylor-Joy?
The actress made a surprise appearance on the red carpet, confirming her rumoured role in the sequel. But what was more surprising, was her outfit for the occasion. Wearing custom Christian Dior, Anya's celestial all-white look was topped with a sheer hooded caped poncho, fit snugly around her face. There's no denying the look's resemblance to a nun's habit, but she's easily the chicest nun we've ever seen.
We'd guess the inspiration for her attire actually came from her role in the film, in which case we're glad to see she got the memo and has followed Florence and Zendaya's lead in dressing for the Dune theme. And, needless to say, only Anya could pull such a 'fit off and we lowkey love it!
Especially when she ditched the headpiece at the Warner Bros. Pictures reception that followed the premiere, better showing off her stunning pleated white gown that featured a seriously plunging neckline.
Everyone's clicking on...
We know we said Anya was close to upstaging her co-stars at the premiere, but Zendaya's archival Mugler robotic metal bodysuit (a sci-fi twist on naked dressing, if you will) and Florence's brown sequin backless hooded dress are quite frankly incomparable. Let's call it a three-way tie because the real winner is obvs us, with the actresses saving their best looks for us here in the UK. Thanks, girls!
