Dua Lipa’s streak of Barbie-inspired looks isn’t over yet.
The pop star shared photos of a new, all-pink look on Instagram today. The centrepiece of the ensemble was a strappy mini dress awash in a metallic, electric-pink hue. Pulled from Diesel’s Resort 2024 collection, the dress featured spaghetti straps and an elegant draping detail attached at her waist.
Lipa accessorised with a bulky gold chain necklace and an asymmetrical purse in an orange-and-yellow snakeskin print from The Attico.
“All I do is beach,” she captioned the post, referencing a joke made by Ken in the Barbie movie.
Not only did Lipa contribute music to Greta Gerwig’s star-studded film, she also made a cameo as a mermaid version of the iconic doll.
She nodded to her cameo with her bedazzled mermaidcore outfit at the Barbie world premiere in Los Angeles last month. At the time, the Grammy winner walked the pink carpet in a glittering crystal-embellished fishnet slip dress, custom-made by Bottega Veneta. To accessorise, she opted for a pair of metallic silver pumps, sculptural silver drop earrings, a few delicate silver rings, and a platinum diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co.
Later, at the Barbie premiere in London, Lipa showed up in a rainbow chainmail slip dress from from “La Vacanza,” the Versace collection she recently co-designed with Donatella Versace. The statement piece featured a colourful print of flowers and butterflies, as well as butterfly-shaped cutouts along the bust.
