Heâs one of the most stylish men in music and regularly makes best dressed lists around the world, so it comes as no surprise that Harry Styles is meticulous when it comes to preserving his most iconic looks.
But Harryâs friend and long-time collaborator, British designer Harris Reed has revealed that the 25-year-old front man goes to extreme lengths to ensure his Gucci suits and Saint Laurent blouses are kept in pristine condition.
In a new interview with GQ, Reed, who has been Harryâs go to designer for the past three years, reveals the superstarâs closet is in fact under lock and key, in an undisclosed location. "I can't say where it is located, but everything goes to an archive. It's basically like somewhere in London where I am not going to disclose.â
But it doesnât stop there, the 'Sign of the Times' singer, who cites Mick Jagger and David Bowie as his style muses, employs Gringotts-level security for his clothing archive. âThe clothes all have 24 hours surveillance, which you can look at via an iPad, specifically done for his outfits.â
But who can blame him? After that MET Gala look and all those Gucci campaigns what celeb wouldnât have a closet with 24/7 security? Kim K, take notes.
Reed, began dressing the former One Direction singer upon graduating from Central Saint Martins and has designed some of his most iconic looks, including that epic blue suit in the Lights Up Video. âAfter his first solo tour that I produced 14-15 looks for â he wore about six or seven â I was wondering where the others were and he was like, 'Don't worry, they are all under surveillance.' I was like, 'Oh, that's chic.'"
Everyone's clicking on...
But Harryâs return to the spotlight is just getting started, after becoming the face of Gucciâs first gender-fluid fragrance MĂ©moire d'une Odeur, the singer revealed that 'Lights Up' is the first single off his highly-anticipated second studio album. And with friends like Reed and Alessandro Michele in his corner, we can be sure to expect even more glamorous non-binary looks from the hit-maker, which will no doubt be archived in a future Styles museum? Now thatâs an exhibition we'd wait in line for.
