Who's ready for I'm A Celeb South Africa? Well buckle in because we're heading back to the jungle – at 9pm tonight!
It's been three years since the first series aired, and finally, I'm a Celebrity...South Africa, is back. The spin-off show is returning with a whole new host of former I'm a Celebrity campmates, hoping for another chance of victory in the jungle.
Back in September, ITV confirmed they would be filming a second series of the All Stars series, with usual hosts Ant and Dec returning to present the series. Just like last time, this season will be pre-recorded, however, unlike last time, for season two there will be a final live from London, in which the public can vote for their winner.
And now the cast for the upcoming series has been revealed and here's all the former campmates returning, and crucially who we think will do best (and worst) in the Bushtucker Trials.
Gemma Collins
Age: 44
Known for: TV personality who started on TOWIE
What series of I'm a Celebrity were they on?: Series 14 in 2014
Where did they place in their original series?: Walked
The queen is back! After more than 10 years since she first appeared on the show, Gemma is returning to give the jungle another go.
When she first went into the jungle in 2014, Gemma ended up walking early on due to personal reasons, but a year after leaving she said she wanted to go back in, "Everything would be different a second time. I’d be like Lara Croft and Angelina Jolie rolled into one, and I’d do the tasks. I’m not scared of nothing." We can't wait to see how she does this time around!
Sinitta
Age: 61
Known for: TV personality and singer
What series of I'm a Celebrity were they on?: Series 11 in 2011
Where did they place in their original series?: 11th
We're so happy to see Sinitta back on our screens. During her first season she was a late arrival and one of the first to be voted out, so we didn't get to see much of her. Sinitta is hoping that on this series, she'll be able to conquer some of her fears, calling the jungle a “crazy retreat”. Only time will tell!
Craig Charles
Age: 61
Known for: Actor best known for Coronation Street
What series of I'm a Celebrity were they on?: Series 14 in 2014
Where did they place in their original series?: Left after 4 days due to personal reasons
Like his fellow season 14 campmate Gemma Collins, Craig withdrew from the show due to personal reasons. And so because of this we didn't get to see much of him on the show.
He's returning for a second, hopefully longer, jungle experience. But said he expected it to be a challenge: “As soon as I hit 60, my stamina has fallen off a cliff. I didn’t even know if I was going to be able to do it.” We're rooting for him!
Mo Farah
Age: 42
Known for: Olympic long distance runner
What series of I'm a Celebrity were they on?: Series 20 in 2020
Where did they place in their original series?: 5th
Sir Mo Farah took part in the first I'm a Celebrity series that was filmed in the UK due to the COVID 19 pandemic, so it'll definitely be a different experience for him over in South Africa... According to Mo, he's got his head in the game this time: “I’ve overcome a lot of things throughout my life and I will be going in fully prepared,” he said.
Seann Walsh
Age: 39
Known for: Comedian
What series of I'm a Celebrity were they on?: Series 22 in 2022
Where did they place in their original series?: 5th
Seann Walsh was a late arrival in his original series, but threw himself into the challenges. On his original series, Seann said: “It changed my life in a very positive way." He added: “I had so much fun the first time around, I didn’t have to think for very long about whether I should do it or not.”
Beverley Callard
Age: 68
Known for: Actress best known for Coronation Street
What series of I'm a Celebrity were they on?: Series 20 in 2020
Where did they place in their original series?: 9th
Beverly was also on the first UK-based series, which was held in Wales due to COVID restrictions. She recalls having a blast the first time: “I loved it all. The daily tasks, the clothes we wore, not having my phone and not wearing any make-up." We can't to watch her give it a go in South Africa!
Adam Thomas
Age: 37
Known for: Actor best known for Emmerdale and Waterloo Road
What series of I'm a Celebrity were they on?: Series 16 in 2016
Where did they place in their original series?: 3rd
Adam Thomas (or “Mr Bushtucker Trial”, as he named himself) said he loved the relationships he built on his first series of I'm A Celeb. He holds the record for tackling the most challenges ever, after partaking in 12 Bushtucker trials on his series. On his return, he said: "It’s going to be completely different and I will take it for what it is", adding "but with the jungle, you expect the unexpected!"
Jimmy Bullard
Age: 46
Known for: Former footballer
What series of I'm a Celebrity were they on?: Series 14 in 2014
Where did they place in their original series?: 10th
Jimmy had one of the shorter times on his series, and ended up taking part in only one trial, saying he'd “never been that scared in all my life”. But he's willing to give it his best shot this time: "If I was in that scenario again, I'd try and get through it,” he said. Come on Jimmy!
David Haye
Age: 44
Known for: Former professional boxer
What series of I'm a Celebrity were they on?: Series 12 in 2012
Where did they place in their original series?: 3rd
David appeared on I'm A Celeb 14 years ago – he has since undergone spinal surgery and retired from boxing. On his first time round, he said: “I had a good time in Australia and I was the last man standing… I got bronze and I was on the podium!” he said. Perhaps he could go all the way this time!
Ashley Roberts
Age: 44
Known for: Singer and dancer
What series of I'm a Celebrity were they on?: Series 12 in 2012
Where did they place in their original series?: 2nd
Ashley was runner up in her series, alongside David Hayes who placed 3rd. Ashley said she was a mixture of excitement and nerves before going in: “I am not going to lie – I have had some sleepless nights before arriving in South Africa," she said. We're sure she'll smash it!
Scarlett Moffatt
Age: 34
Known for: TV personality who started on Gogglebox
What series of I'm a Celebrity were they on?: Series 16 in 2016
Where did they place in their original series?: 1st
Scarlett is the first of two winners taking part in this series, and she was previously chosen for a LOT of Bushtucker Trials. On being asked back, she said: “I was a bit overwhelmed...out of all the people they could pick, I felt grateful that I was even a thought because so many people have done it.” She's always the humble queen!
Harry Redknapp
Age: 78
Known for: Former football manager
What series of I'm a Celebrity were they on?: Series 18 in 2018
Where did they place in their original series?: 1st
As a winner of the series there's a lot of pressure on Harry to defend his title, especially with his a track record of winning 100% of the the stars available to him. On his return to the jungle, he said: “King Harry is back!”
