Guys, this is not a drill! A brand new Married at First Sight spin-off series is coming and it's got a major wild new twist.
Second Marriage at First Sight is a brand new series from Channel 4, which will see eight beloved faces from MAFS UK and MAFS Australia return to the experiment for another chance at love following their first time on the show.
Each UK contestant will be paired up with a single from Australia, while the Aussies will be matched up with someone from the UK, in the hope of seeing if their true love is actually from the other side of the world.
Across 24 episodes, the series will start in the UK with all couples meeting for the first time and navigating those first few weeks of marriage. The cast will then up sticks and move temporarily to Australia, before deciding if their relationship can last, and crucially if one half of each partnership would move to be with their partner.
Channel 4’s Head of Reality Entertainment, Steve Handley said of the new show, "These eight well-loved MAFS singles didn't find lasting love the first time, but they haven't given up - and neither have we.
"Everyone deserves a second chance at love and this time they're saying 'I do' to a stranger on the other side of the world, risking absolutely everything for another shot at getting it right. I think it will be our greatest love story yet."
With many of the recent MAFS UK and Australia cast members still single, there's plenty of opportunities for some of our favourites to return. So far the cast details haven't been confirmed but we'll be sure to tell you when they do.
In the meantime we'll be getting excited for the next season of MAFS Australia which is set to arrive on E4 very soon, following the show's return in Australia.
