New year, new me season of The Traitors. Everyone's favourite reality TV contest is back for another series and, as many of us battle the January blues, the timing couldn't be better!
As usual, a whole host of new contestants have made their way to the scenic Scottish landscapes for their chance to win £120k – and get a look at Claudia Winkleman's iconic fringe up close.
One of those contestants is Stephen, and having really done his homework on the show (more on that in a moment), he's someone who could make it all the way to the final. Here's everything you need to know about The Traitors' Stephen, including his age, job, and what he'd spend the prize money on...
Who is The Traitors' Stephen?
Stephen from The Traitors is a 32-year-old Cyber Security Consultant who lives in London with his partner.
Does Stephen from The Traitors have Instagram?
Yep! You can find Stephen on Instagram at @stephenlibby. Writing on Instagram about his appearance on The Traitors, Stephen said: "Mo chreach sa thàinig, your boy from the Hebrides is going into the castle."
"Am I a Traitor or a Faithful?" he added. "Let the games begin!"
How did Stephen prepare for The Traitors?
Stephen said he's watched "every franchise" of The Traitors, and has been soaking up any and all information he can about tactics from previous contestants.
"I've actually been re-watching some of the seasons, just to kind of get my head in the game and examine certain things that people have done that were so normal to them but others found weird," he said. "So [I've been] looking out for those little things that might arouse suspicion."
That said, Stephen admitted "a lot of the play really depends on who's around you."
"You have to read the room really quickly at the beginning, and previous players' tactics may not work here," he said. "Also, people are going into this game now knowing a lot more about how the game works, and I think that really means you've got to come up with a new strategy, your own strategy."
Is Stephen from The Traitors competitive?
Stephen said he used to be an "'it's the taking part that counts' kind of person," although not any longer. "I met my partner, and he and his family are vile when it comes to games," he admitted. "There are no holds barred, and it gets a bit heated. I had to learn to be equally committed, and now they've awakened something in me that I never knew was there before! I could never have pictured myself six years ago applying for something like this."
What will The Traitors' Stephen spend the prize money on if he wins?
We don't know whether or not Stephen makes it to the final of The Traitors, but he's already got a plan for how he'd spend the prize money if he does. "Firstly, I really want to give back to my parents," he said. "I was the first person in my family to go to university, and we weren't a university family at all. Financially, it wasn't something that we would really be able to do but my parents really gave up a lot to push me through."
He continued: "I would love to be able to give back to my dad, who is the most incredible artist. He's a butcher by trade, but I would love to be able to just give him a chance to get away from that and really have more time to work on his art as much as possible."
As for if there's anything he'd do for himself if he won the money, Stephen said, "I've been in London now for eight years, and I'm getting to the point now where I'd like to be able to get on the property ladder."
Watch The Traitors season four on BBC One and iPlayer from 1 January.
