Selling The OC is finally back on Netflix after more than a year away for more house selling, romantic updates and office feuds. However, if you've just tuned into the new episodes you may notice that a lot of the cast from the last few seasons are surprisingly missing - well here's why.
This season sees the return of Oppenheim Group owners Jason and Brett Oppenheim, and their Orange County agents Alex Hall (who has a new boyfriend btw), Polly Brindle, Brandi Marshall, Austin Victoria and Gio Helou back on our screens. There's also some new faces that includes Fiona Belle, Ashtyn Zerboni, and Kaylee Ricciardi.
However, notably missing from our screens are Alexandra Jarvis, Alexandra Rose, Sean Palmieri, Kayla Cardona, Lauren Shortt and Ali Harper. So why did these six not return for another series? Here's what you need to know about their exits and what they're up to now.
The real reason these Selling The OC agents quit the show
Alexandra Jarvis
Ok so before the release of season three, in which Alexandra starred in, Jason confirmed Alexandra had quit the office.
Speaking to People Magazine, Jason said: "I don't want to speak for Jarvis, but ... she decided to do what's best for her, and I have a lot of respect for that. ... We're still on good terms."
Alexandra then went onto explain to the publication why she left, citing "toxic culture" as part of her reason for leaving the office and show.
"There were a lot of factors that went into my decision," she explained. "I don't really think anyone's surprised by [my departure]. I don't really know what to say about it other than I just know when it's time to leave a party.”
Since leaving the show and the Oppenheim Group, Alexandra has continued to work in real estate, often showing the homes she's listing on her Instagram. She's also started sharing food recipes on her page too.
Alexandra Rose
Alexandra Rose was the second Alexandra to quit the show ahead of the fourth season. Right now it's not been confirmed why she chose to leave the show but given all her on-screen friends weren't going to be in it, it makes snese as to why she would choose to leave.
Alexandra Rose still appears to be working at the Oppenheim Group, unlike Jarvis, as she's listed as an agent on the website and also lists them on her Instagram.
But the biggest news is Alexandra Rose is pregnant and her baby is due any day now! Alexandra announced the news back in September and shared that Ali Harper had planned the baby shower for her.
Sean Palmieri
Sean was the centre of a lot of drama in season three when he claimed fellow agent Austin Victoria and his wife Lisa propositioned him for a threesome, which the couple denied. Following this claim there was a lot of fallout throughout the season, and in 2023 before hte third season even aired, Sean announced he was leaving the Oppenheim Group and therefore by extension the show.
He told People, "After much consideration, I’ve decided to part ways with the Oppenheim Group. I am very excited about this new chapter in my career and eager to embark on a journey that closely aligns with my professional aspirations and personal growth."
Since then he still appears to be working in real estate, often sharing listings on his Instagram feed and he's doing a lot of travelling too.
Kayla Cardona
Kayla was a main character throughout the first three seasons of the show, however, she will not be appearing in this current season. So far it's not been confirmed exactly why she left, however, she is still working at The Oppenheim Group.
And from the looks of her Instagram she just seems to be busy working on her social media and selling houses.
Lauren Shortt
Lauren has been on the show since day one, however she never had a prominent storyline so that could be part of the reason why she left the show.
She now also doesn't work for The Oppenheim Group and appears to have set up her own real estate agency.
Ali Harper
Ali Harper joined the show in season two and was a breath of fresh air. However, she now won't be returning for season four.
Ali actually never had her real estate licence while on the show, so that may have been a factor as to why she didn't stay for another season. It also appears she has moved back to her native Nashville and is working on sharing a lot of lifestyle content to her nearly 500,000 Instagram followers.
