Following Dani Dyer's exit from Strictly Come Dancing many fans are wondering if the reality star will be replaced on the series - here's what we know so far.

Yesterday the BBC confirmed Dani would no longer be taking part in this year's series of the dancing competition following an injury she sustained from training for the show.

Last night Dani shared the news, saying how gutted she was not to be taking part. In a statement she said: "I had a fall on Friday in rehearsals and landed funny. I thought I had rolled my foot but it swelled up badly over the weekend and after an MRI scan yesterday, it turns out I have fractured my ankle.

"Apparently doing the quickstep on a fracture is not advisable (!!) and the doctors have said I am not allowed to dance so l’ve had to pull out of the show. To say I’m heartbroken is the biggest understatement. I am so going to miss dancing with Nikita but will of course be watching closely and cheering all the couples on."

Dani was meant to be competing with professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin, however, now fans are wondering if Nikita will get a new partner. So far the BBC has not commented on whether Dani will be replaced.

Dani is not the first celebrity from this year's cast to quit the show. Ahead of the season beginning, Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn quit the show due to medical reasons and he was replaced by Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope. However, it's not clear if the same will happen again as Kristian's replacement happened in plenty of time for Lewis to get up to speed with the pre-season training.

The Sun had reported earlier today Waterloo Road actress Tillie Amartey was being considered to replace Dani. Tillie had competed in the 2023 Strictly Christmas special with professional dancer Neil Jones.

However, now a source has told the Daily Mail there is no truth to these claims, saying: "Tillie hasn't had any contact with Strictly Come Dancing. Bosses still don't know if they are replacing Dani yet."

Guess we'll just have to wait and see, and in the mean time, keep dancing!
