If you thought nothing came of last year's many (many) celebrity lookalike contests, then think again. Last night, Miles Mitchell and Maxwell Braunstein — who won the Timothée Chalamet at Glen Powell lookalike contests respectively — walked the red carpet at the Golden Globes.
Unfortunately for the pair, there was no mistaking their identity, as both Miles and Maxwell hit the awards ceremony red carpet holding signs that read: "I won a lookalike contest and now I'm at the Golden Globes."
Naturally, fans had a lot to say about the lookalikes making their Hollywood debut. "I don't think I'm going to be able to unsee this!!!" someone wrote, as another joked: "Is the lookalike in the room with us???"
At one point, Maxwell and Glen actually crossed paths, and their sweet encounter was caught on camera. In fact, the Twisters star called over his mum to meet his lookalike, prompting many fans to point out how Glen is really just like the rest of us.
"He is such a real humble star!! Such a sweetheart," one person commented on Instagram, as another added: "So the way we call our moms is universal. Good to know."
"He's such a good sport," another fan said of Glen's reaction, as someone else chimed in with: "Calling his mom over, obsessed."
Both Timothée and Glen (but not their lookalikes) were nominated at last night's Golden Globes. Timothée — who was spotted kissing Kylie Jenner all night — received his fourth Golden Globe nomination for his performance in A Complete Unknown. Meanwhile, Glen earned his very first nomination at the awards show in the Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy category for Hit Man.
