Just when you thought that there couldn't be more drama on Selling Sunset, things started to heat up at the O Group more than ever. And now that there's talk about shake ups and new beginnings for the future of the show's stars, we're definitely crossing our fingers that cameras will be there to capture all of it. In November 2024, Netflix quietly renewed Selling Sunset for another season — and considering the way the finale ended, we can't imagine it not coming back with so many open answers.

Amanza Smith was the one who broke the news on TikTok, captioning her video, "And we're back," along with the hashtag #SellingSunsetSeason9.

When is Selling Sunset season 9 coming back?

Some bad news: In January 2025, Jason Oppenheimer confirmed to Business Insider that filming for season 9 had abruptly halted due to the ongoing L.A. wildfires.

"I don't know if or how we'll address it on camera," he said, adding, "We've paused filming so we can focus on our efforts right now."

Previously, the show took a little bit longer than normal for it to come back for season eight, so it's doesn't have a specific schedule that it's following. But hopefully it won't be too long so we can find out what's next especially with Amanda possibly shaking things up and Chelsea dealing with the aftermath of her divorce.

Who will be in the cast of Selling Sunset season 9?

The full cast has not been confirmed yet, but according to Mary Bonnet, you can expect to see all your faves returning for season 9. When asked by TooFab whether all the season 8 cast members would be back, she said, "Yes, I believe so" — and she confirmed that yes, that included Chrishell Stause.

Hopefully it won't be too long so we can find out what's next, especially with Amanda Lynn possibly shaking things up and Chelsea Lazkani dealing with the aftermath of her divorce.
