The Kardashians' new reality series, aptly named The Kardashians has been surrounded by rumour and speculation ever since it was first announced back in October 2020. Now, as we're just literal weeks away from the series launch we've been given our first look at the new show with a brand new shiny trailer. But it's received a mixed reaction from some fans who took to Instagram about the exact same detail in the teaser clip.
Depending on how thorough your Kar-Jenner knowledge is you'll likely be aware that the family's long-running reality series Keeping up With the Kardashians aired the final series last year, bringing the 14-year show to an end after 20 seasons.
But it wasn't all bad news, mere weeks after announcing the end of KUWTK the family announced a multi-year partnership with Hulu, and as of this week we got a trailer and a release date for the new show.
Airing on Disney+ on 14 April the new show, The Kardashians, is set to show a "different side" to the famous family. But, almost as soon as momager Kris Jenner posted the trailer to her Instagram fans started pointing out the same complaint, asking, is this not just the same show on a different channel?
"So y’all did all that crying n' s**t taking away the show on another network just to do this? Ima watch it though smfh," one fan commented. Another said, "You said goodbye just to come back again LOL the marketing is off but I can’t wait love yall," while someone else wrote, "Soooooo I thought they didnt wanna do their show anymore???"
Clearly, people are kind of wondering what all the cancellation fuss was about - although others have pointed out it must have been sad to say goodbye to the crew they had worked with for years.
I mean, obviously we'll watch religiously regardless. See you there.
