Awards co-host Keke Palmer had an awkward moment with Brooklyn Beckham at the Met Gala, when she didn't know who he was.
As well as the red carpet outfits, one of our favourite things from award season is spotting the cringe-worthy bits the celebs would rather forget. Just look at last night's Met Gala [13 September], when actor Keke didn't recognise young-famous-Beckham, Brooklyn.
At the beginning of Vogue’s Met Gala livestream, the Hustlers actress explained that she knew Brookyn's fiancée Nicola Peltz, giving her a big hug.
However, when Keke turned to Brooklyn, she asked, "Where are you from?"
Brooklyn then explained he is from England, although he is living in LA, and people took it as an indication that she didn't know who he was.
Fans on social media were screaming at the moment, with one tweeting, "Keke Palmer not knowing who Brooklyn Beckham was and asking where he was from was my favourite and the most American thing that will happen tonight."
Someone else added, "Keke Palmer interviewing Brooklyn Beckham and asking him where he’s from is sending me."
This is kind of gold.
