2008 - When she was taking selfies while Khloe was en route to jail
Another vintage KUWTK moment came when Khloe was headed to the police station over DUI charges. Kim used the time to do what she does best: take selfies in the back seat. Kris Jenner was not amused.
2008 - When she was hit by a meteor in a film cameo
The year is 2008, and Kim Kardashian is making her debut in Disaster Movie. The film role saw her playing herself - and being killed by a surprise asteroid which dropped directly onto her head. Ouch.
2011 - When she lost her diamond earring in the sea
Who can forget the Kardashian trip to Bora Bora where Kim cried over losing a diamond earring. Kourtney Kardashian clapped back with the most savage response of all time: “Kim, there’s people that are dying.”
2011 - When she released a pop song
Kim’s pop career was short lived, with the one and only single coming in 2011, titled 'Jam (Turn It Up)'. The star later confessed it was her biggest regret. “What gave me the right to think I could be a singer? I don’t have a good voice,” she admitted.
2014 - When she broke the internet with her PAPER magazine shoot
Kim had every social media user in the palm of her hand in November 2014 when her PAPER magazine cover series was released - including one of her fully starkers. “I love sharing my world with people,” she said in the interview. “That’s just who I am.”
2015 - When she released a book of selfies
It might not be Shakespeare, but filling 445 pages with selfies you like is quite impressive. Kim released her coffee table book Selfish in 2015, featuring iconic pictures like her sunburn from Mexico and aforementioned mirror belfies.
2015 - When she got her first solo Vogue cover
Kim's first Vogue cover came in Australia for their February 2015 issue. A bare-faced Kim in white on the beach was joined by the caption: "Falling in love with Kim / Honest, proud and endearing."
When her crying face went viral
You might say Kimmy K created memes with her incredible ugly crying face, which has since been used far and wide as a reaction GIF. The usual cause? Older sister Kourtney. Some things never change, eh?
2016 - The first time she went naked on social media
A blonde Kim sparked conversations about slut-shaming worldwide when she shared a naked selfie in 2016, adhering to the app’s guidelines by using block boxes to cover her parts. It inspired a mural in Australia, and fashion e-tailer Lyst reported a 406% surge in black bandeau tops as a result of the censorship.
2019 - When she committed to prison reform
As well as taking on legal training, Kim has publicly committed to improving the conditions inside US prisons - with her own lawyer reporting she had helped to free at least 17 federal prisoners. This is explored further in her The Justice Project documentary.
2020 - When she wore that wet look dress to the Met Gala
You know the one, with the incredible mermaid-esque pearl water drops and boning that meant she couldn't sit down. Pre event, she joked, "Wish me luck, I won’t be able to pee for about four hours."
