Last night's Grammys was an eventful one; from Lewis Capaldi being mistaken for a seat warmer to Twitter's joyous reactions to Ariana's red carpet dress and the er... less than joyous reactions to Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's performance, it was a whirlwind.

One of the most emotional moments of the night was when Demi Lovato took to the stage to perform her newest single, Anyone, which she reportedly wrote and recorded just four days before her near-fatal overdose in 2018, according to TMZ.

Moments after beginning the performance - her first since leaving rehab and taking a break from music - Demi who was fighting back tears, was forced to stop and restart the song. She went on to give an incredibly moving performance and received a standing ovation and a lot of tears from the crowd.

After the performance Demi took to Instagram to thank her fans for their support. In the post, she wrote, "What an unbelievable night. My first time back on stage in almost 2 years. So emotional for me. Thank you all for the love, support and for sharing this moment with me. I love you all. 💗"

This is the star's first performance since taking a hiatus after the overdose that almost killed her in 2018. Demi was rushed to hospital on July 24th 2018 from her home in Hollywood after struggling with a relapse, having previously been sober for six years. Demi then spent some time at a treatment facility before leaving to further work on her recovery.

Glad to see you back, Demi.
