SPOILER ALERT: Spoilers for Game Of Thrones season 8, episode 5 ahead…

Are you trying to move on with your life after this week’s Game Of Thrones? Well tough, because we have at least 28 more stories on it coming your way.

There’s a new theory on the table that a certain connection between Jaime Lannister (RIP, Kingslayer) and Jon Snow might be a massive hint as to what will happen to Daenerys.

Despite Jon and Jaime not actually having tons in common, Vanity Fair has pointed something out that could prove that Jon will kill Daenerys.

You know how there were a bunch of wildfire explosions in King’s Landing during Daenerys and Drogon’s attack on the city? Well, the reason for that is that it was Dany’s dad, Aerys Targaryen aka The Mad King’s, weapon of choice, and when he was on the throne he hid a bunch of it all over town just in case he ever needed it. So was Daenerys purposely going around igniting it in some poetic callback to her dad?

Quick reminder: Jaime told Brienne in season 3 why he killed The Mad King, and it was mostly to do with the fact he was frightened about having a leader who loved watching people burn so much.

Here’s what Game Of Thrones’ Brienne Of Tarth wrote about Jamie Lannister in the finalepinterest

“Have you heard of wildfire? The Mad King was obsessed with it. He loved to watch people burn, the way their skin blackened and blistered and melted off their bones. He burned lords he didn’t like.

“He burned hands of the king who disobeyed him. He burned anyone who was against him. Before long, half the country was against him. Aerys saw traitors everywhere.

“So he had his pyromancers place caches of wildfire all over the city. Beneath the Sept of Baelor and the slums of Flea Bottom. Under houses, stables, taverns. Even beneath the Red Keep itself.”

And in this week’s episode, there’s a bit where Jon Snow looks absolutely distraught as Daenerys is lighting the place up, like, well, like a Mad Queen, quite frankly. Plus, he really did pull away when Daenerys went in for a kiss earlier on in the episode as he was starting to realise she might be more evil than we all thought. Admittedly, it might have been the fact that she’s his aunt that made him pull away…

So is he going to do a Jaime Lannister and kill a leader (Dany) obsessed with watching people burn. Will we be referring to him as The Queenslayer by the end of the finale?
