SPOILER ALERT: Spoilers for Game Of Thrones season 8, episode 4 ahead…

Ugh, you guys. Certain Game Of Thrones fans think they found absolute proof that Jon Snow dies in the next episode, and to add insult to injury, they think his direwolf Ghost was a major hint.

Okay, okay, try to remain calm. Over on Comicbook.com, it was pointed out that throughout the series, the fate of the characters is very much tied to their animals (direwolves for the Starks, dragons for Dany). For example, both Robb Stark and Rickon Stark were killed by the same people who killed their direwolves, around the same time. So here’s the theory: Now that both of Jon’s “animals” are out of the picture, he’s probably going to die.

“Ghost, the white direwolf that Jon was given at the beginning of the series. In The Last Of The Starks, Jon sends Ghost away to live in the ‘True North’ alongside Tormund Giantsbane and the rest of the wildlings.

“Rhaegal — Dany’s dragon, named after Jon’s father (Dany’s brother), Rhaegar. He became Jon’s personal steed during the battle against the Night King and looked like he would be the true spirit animal Jon was connected to. In The Last Of The Starks, Rhaegal is shot out of the sky and killed by Euron Greyjoy and the Iron Fleet.”

Jon and a good boi who didn’t deserve to be sent North.

So, this author is taking the fate of Rhaegal and Ghost to spell bad news for Jon. There are a few issues with this theory though. Number one, Sansa and Bran’s direwolves are dead but they’re still kicking it, and number two, Ghost isn’t actually dead, just totally robbed of the pets he deserved from Jon.

Who knows whether this will actually come true or not, but if Jon dies in the next episode, you heard it here first.
