Sophie Turner toasted Maisie Williams' first ever sex scene as Ayra Stark in Game of Thrones by raising a glass of red wine, because nothing cements a friendship more.
The 23-year-old star - wearing a white robe while taking a sip of her glass - shared an Instagram Story in which she declared: "In honour of Easter I guess Game of Thrones wanted the storyline to have a little Easter bunny hop hop hopping into that p*ssay."
She then concluded: "That's the tea."
Maisie's character Arya lost her virginity to Joe Dempsie's Gendry in episode two ahead of the Battle of Winterfell.
In an interview after the scene was aired, Maisie revealed that she initially thought her character getting it on with Gendry was a joke by show-runners David Benioff and DB Weiss.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the actress recalled: "At first, I thought it was a prank. I was like, 'Yo, good one.' And [they were] like, 'No, we haven't done that this year'."
In fact, the whole situation prompted a lot of fans to freak out and frantically search google for Ayra's age. Her character is 18, people, and Maisie is 22.
Maisie also disclosed that it was up to her how naked she got for the scene. "David and Dan were like: 'You can show as much or as little as you want,'" she continued.
"So I kept myself pretty private. I don't think it's important for Arya to flash. This beat isn't really about that."
On what it means for Ayra, she added: "This is something she's stayed away from, an emotion we’ve never really seen her engage with.
"David and Dan were like, 'It's the end of the world, what else would you have her do?' This may be is a moment where Arya accepts death tomorrow, which she never does. It’s interesting to see Arya be a bit more human, speak more normally about things people are scared of."
Maisie and Sophie have been close friends since they joined the cast ten years ago as on-screen sisters Sansa and Arya Stark. Sophie recently said she had asked Maisie to be her maid of honour when she marries fiancé Joe Jonas.
