Celebrity Traitors star Ruth Codd has revealed her decision to have a second leg amputation, taking to TikTok on Wednesday 26 November to share the news with the caption: "No legs, who dis?"

Speaking to her 200,000 followers on the platform, Ruth said she had some "good news" and some "bad news" for fans. "Good news: we've had a full-circle moment, I'm back making TikTok content in my parents' house," she began. "Bad news: I can't do it in front of that lovely blue floral wallpaper anymore, due to the fact that that room is upstairs and I've just had my second below-knee amputation, so unfortunately, those facilities are not available to me at the current moment in time."

In the comments section, fans were surprised to hear Ruth has had a second leg amputation. "Wait, you lost the other leg?" one person asked, as another replied with "I'm so confused."

As it turns out, Ruth actually opened up earlier this month about the decision to undergo a second leg amputation. In a video with FFTV, Ruth explained she was told by doctors that years of using a crutch had impacted the joints in her foot. "The way I used my crutches, I was always kind of on my tippy toes, so the joints in my feet were destroyed by the end of the eight years," she said, adding that her foot was "never going to get any better".

"It's gone past the point where they can do anything about it," Ruth continued, adding that this had made it "more difficult" for her to work and perform.

For now, Ruth is in a wheelchair while she recovers from the operation. In her TikTok, she revealed the nickname for her "new whip", which she's calling "Fat Tony".

Everyone's clicking on...

"She has the top speed of fuck all per hour, especially if there's a step involved," Ruth joked of the wheelchair.

Previously speaking about her first amputation, Ruth told the Irish Examiner in 2022: "My injury is the greatest challenge I’ve faced in my life so far."

"I injured it playing soccer at the age of 15. It never healed correctly, so until I was 23, I was on and off crutches, getting loads of operations," she recalled. "Because of nerve damage and chronic pain, I chose to get it amputated. It took eight years of my life, constantly going in and out of hospital."

She continued: "My whole life revolved around trying to heal my leg. For years, I didn't see it getting any better. I was stuck in a really bad mindset and I was pissed off at life. When I made the decision to amputate it, things finally started to turn around. It was a relief. I could get on my life."
