34 stunning nude nail designs you're going to want to try ASAP

The most flattering nail shade just got an upgrade 💅

By , and

Nude nails; it’s the vaguest of trends that covers a multitude of neutral colours: beige, caramel, ballet-shoe pink, creamy peach, mushroom, mocha (we could go). But what’s a girl to do when muted starts to feel meh? Enter: all the inspiration you could ever need...

The clever thing about nude nail polish is that it flatters hands by giving the appearance of longer fingers (not that we have anything against short fingers, natch). It also makes a great neutral base for delicate nail art designs and looks incredible alternated with a glittery accent on long acrylic nails.

Nude nails are super easy to ramp up, too, with rainbow accents or pretty pastel designs which are so perfect for showing off in summer... or any szn, TBH! Trust us when we say that negative space nail art isn't going anywhere. So, if you haven't got involved yet, there truly is no better time than now.

Though, if you prefer a no-fuss or if high-shine more your vibe, we gotchu. With quick and easy dots to XL glossy pastels, there's a design for all preferences. That or if you just want to upgrade the healthy appearance of your natural nails after two weeks on the beach, fear not.

Why not try some gel nude nails on coffin-shaped acrylics for added drama? Tracy Lee demonstrates how good a matte finish looks when using multiple beige shades for a pretty gradient effect. And props to DryBy for their delicate cuticle sparkles.

After scouring social media for the best nude nail looks, we found the best of the best and threw all our bright nail polishes in the bin (not really, that would be wasteful). Enjoy!

Under the sea and up in the sky

Now this is the result you'd get if the sky and sea were to have a baby – random, much? Think: an oyster shell ombre combo with star details.
