1. e.l.f. Studio Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Palette, £12.50

"Bit of a disclaimer here; I love matte eyeshadow palettes. So when this all-matte shadow kit landed on my desk, I may have been a tad biased. As a shimmer-phobe it's everything I want in a palette (and then some), the range of neutral shades make it perfect for day-to-day, whilst the selection of dark hues means it can double up as eyeliner or brow shadows. The powders themselves aren't crazy pigmented, but I quite like that, it means you can go for a soft wash of colour or build up for a stronger finish." Victoria Jowett, Digital Beauty Editor

2. e.l.f. Studio Matte Lip Colour in Wine, £4.50

"I tested this before checking the name and I was surprised when I saw it’s sold as a ‘matte lip colour’ because IMO it’s not overly matte. Not that I’m complaining, I’m so sick of heavy, thick liquid lipsticks that this lip colour was a welcome change. The stick format means it’s really easy to apply around your lip line (no lip liner needed) and again the bold colour at such an affordable price seriously impressed me." 3. e.l.f. Intense Ink Liner, £4.50

"If, like me, your everyday makeup routine is largely made up of a little concealer, sweep of bronzer and slick of liquid liner, weeell this e.l.f. eyeliner pen is an absolute must-try. Not only is it wallet-friendly, but the jet-black, inky formula glides on beautifully, the precise tip makes it easy to craft a flick, AND the stuff actually stays put all day. Yes, really." 4. e.l.f. Studio Aqua Beauty Blush & Bronzer in Bronzed Peach, £7.50

"At first I thought this was a powder blush and bronzer, but when I touched it I realised it was a cream that felt almost cushiony. I have never tried anything like it before and if I didn’t know the brand I would genuinely think it was a high end makeup item. The pigment is seriously impressive and although the bronzer was quite dark, it was easy to blend out with a brush. The coral blush is perfect for that slightly sunburnt, holiday vibes look and I can honestly say it’s going straight in my handbag." Laura Capon, Digital Fashion and Beauty Writer

5. e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Beautifully Bare Natural Glow Face Palette, £9

"If your makeup up bag is full to bursting, this handy palette will help you condense things. It has a light bronzer, two peachy blushers, and a highlighter (plus, there's a decent size mirror thrown in for good measure). The powders are oh-so soft and creamy, meaning they blend into the skin like a dream. It's everything you need for your everyday face...👍" Victoria Jowett, Digital Beauty Editor
