Raise your hands if you have been completely and utterly gagged by Margot Robbie’s looks for the press tour of Wuthering Heights. Ok good, so we are all on the same page that our Aussie queen has never looked better. From her UK Premiere 'fit, complete with ornate choker and an updo so perfect, Jacob Elordi tried to protect from the rain with his bare hands, to her dramatic world premiere ball gown, we are obsessed. But naturally, as a beauty journo, I’ve mainly been captivated by Margot’s makeup for each red carpet.

While she never has been one for a heavy makeup look, for all the photo opps around the new film (an adaption of the romantic tragedy by Emily Brontë), Margot’s makeup has been super fresh and pared back, with nude lips, natural brows and one signature element – prominent, rosy blush.

Margot’s long-time MUA Pati Dubroff has been killing it with her looks and finally spilled the tea on exactly what she used on Margot for the LA premiere, confirming the cheeks were the big focus. Listen to Pati’s picks here.

What we're dubbing Brontë blush, is so in-keeping with the youthful, naive energy of Margot’s character in the film, who is a teen in the original book. Not all of us are blessed with Margot’s chiseled cheekbones, so if you want to cheat the look, remember, the higher you place your blush, the more it lifts your face, giving the illusion of youth. As Lancôme artist Niamh Tait says, “We’re moving away from the apples of the cheeks and aiming for high-impact lift,” with Brontë blush. “By sweeping vibrant, spring inspired roses or corals along the very peaks of the cheekbones and blending upwards towards the temples, you create a natural uplift that opens up the entire face.”

She continues, “Focus your placement higher than you think, the result is a flushed, youthful glow that looks instantly snatched and fresh.” And for that believable rosy, dewy flush, stick to liquid or cream blush formulas and layer powder textures on top if you need your look to be super long-wearing.
