When it comes to concealing the under-eye area, light formulas are great for not settling in fine lines and creases, as well as giving a radiant finish, but... they do generally require setting. If, like me, you don't like putting setting powder over your artfully-glowing-former-bags, you may be used to your concealer needing frequent top ups, or finding its way into those fine lines. But this hack might be the answer.
Makeup artist Vincent Ford has revealed how he gets under-eye concealer to last all day, without setting it after application. Instead, he mixes a little powder into the concealer. Explaining on Instagram he wrote; "This hack is a came changer. Mix a little bit of a light reflecting loose powder into your concealer and watch how flawless it looks."
Telling fans and followers; "It lasts all day and doesn't crease." And from what we can see it looks pretty good 👀
Vincent confirmed in the caption that little addition of powder meant no need to then set, writing; "You don't need to add any powder on top when you are done." And helpfully listed the products he used in the hack, detailing; "I used an eye cream under it and NARS Light Reflecting Loose Powder and Radiant Creamy Concealer." Then adding in response to a fan comment that the brush used was NARS no 10.
While it's not as beaming bright as applying sans powder at all, it does seem a great halfway house between covering the whole area in setting powder and using none. And I for one will be giving it a try.
