Rose gold hair should be your next colour move (and here's 35 reasons why)
From copper balayage to rose-gold highlights...

Rose gold hair has been sitting pretty at the top of our must-try colour list, and it looks like the trend is here to stay. From metallic coppery highlights to blushing ombre fades, rose gold locks are winning eeeverywhere from Instagram to Pinterest (and there are no prizes for guessing why).
Thinking of experimenting with rose gold hair? If it’s a more permanent decision it’s important you speak to a hair colourist to make sure your hair is in the best condition for the colour. “Book a consultation with your hairdresser to talk through all things rose gold,” says Grace Dalgleish colourist at Brooks & Brooks salon. “It can work for everybody when done correctly but for blondes It's the perfect go-to fashion shade to glaze over your locks for a non-commitment trend, fading back to your original canvas in just weeks. The key to achieving the right shade of rose gold is mixing cool dusty pink tones with warm apricot hues, creating a beautiful metallic shimmer over the hair.”
If you don’t have blonde hair you can definitely still dive in the rose gold hair trend, but you might need to pre-lighten your hair slightly to have the colour show properly. This should be done professionally, even if you then apply the rose gold yourself at home. “Having the right canvas underneath is where you need to see you a professional. Rose gold works great over highlights, balayage and full-head bleaches. See your hairdresser first for some pre-colour work so they can get the base of your hair to the level of lightness it needs to be, then you can simply top up the tone at home!”
We trawled the internet to bring you 35 of the dreamiest rosy hair hues out there, from Nyané's incredible neon rose, to Bleach London's stunning metallic balayage. So, if you're considering a colour change, here's all the inspo you'll need...
