If you are new here you are probably not aware of how obsessed we are with the fragrance offering on the high street. From Zara to H&M and our beloved M&S, these shops kinda prove time and time again that actually, you don’t need to shell out hundreds of pounds on designer scents, when you can grab your next season spritz when you stock up on your undies. So, with spring in full swing, we wanted to introduce you to the prettiest, most spring-centred perfumes in the M&S line up, all of which cost £10 or under.
Best spring scents from M&S
Sweet Frangipani Eau de Toilette 100ml
Notes: Frangipani, rose, vanilla
Why it's great for spring: This perfume smells like that first truly warm day of spring. It's light and airy thanks to the frangipani, but the creamiest of the vanilla at the base really gives the scent a smooth, warm 'summer is almost here' appeal.
Velvet Amber Eau de Toilette 100ml
Notes: Neroli, white florals, amber
Why it's great for spring: If you aren't a big fan of the more traditional light floral spring scents this is an excellent pick, it's kind of a perfect winter-to-spring transitional scent. Neroli is such a classic spring note that's bright and citrus-y and the white florals bloom in the heart of the scent, but the depth of the amber at the base makes it a warmer, richer scent than standard spring offering, which is why I love it. It's so good for an evening spritz.
Fresh Mandarin Eau de Toilette 100ml
Notes: Mandarin, cassis, orange flower, jasmine, rose, ylang ylang, tonka, amber, vanilla, sandalwood
Why it's great for spring: Florals for spring? No, citrus for spring! This is a great office-friendly, day scent that is a real crowd-pleaser. It's complex so it's not just like spraying orange zest on yourself, you have florals, citrus and creamy, woody notes all at play. The fresh, juicy opening, settles in to a lovely warm, floral dry down that is kinda reflective of a UK springtime, bright mornings, and cooler evenings.
Soft Gardenia Eau de Toilette 100ml
Notes: Gardenia, grapefruit, vanilla, sandalwood
Why it's great for spring: Floral and sweet with a warm base, what more could you want for your spring pick? The gardenia is a creamy, gentle floral rather than one that bursts out, hence the 'soft' moniker. The grapefruit though, keeps this fresh and zesty to give the perfume a real spring edge.
Discover Deep Mimosa Eau de Toilette 100ml
Notes: Mimosa, sandalwood, musk
Why it's great for spring: If you like a more powdery floral scent, this is so your vibe. The mimosa is soft, powdery and warm and the scent warms up further with the sandalwood at the base. It's very quiet luxe, not shouty, but smooth and understated.
