If you've been wondering what Bella Hadid has been up to recently, then wonder no more. It turns out the supermodel has been busy undergoing a hair transformation, trading in her signature dark brown strands for a new red 'do.

Stepping out in New York City on Wednesday 22 January, Bella unveiled a her warm burgundy highlights for the first time. The colour appears to be the only change to her locks, as she's maintained her length, which stretches halfway down her back.

As for how she styled her new strands, the 28-year-old kept things casual with loose, tousled curls in a middle parting, finished off with a skinny, stretchy black headband, which pulled her hair away from her face.

This marks the first time that Bella has made such a dramatic transformation to her hair in a while, although she's not a total stranger to switching things up. At the start of last year she looked almost unrecognisable after debuting a (temporary!) bleach blonde bob, crafted by hairstylist Akki Shirakawa.

And, prior to that, in 2023 she shocked us all with a totally bald look for a fashion shoot. While it later transpired to be digital rendering — be that CGI, AI or Photoshop — fans all agreed she pulled the look off with style.

Previously speaking to Allure about the different hair colours she has experimented with, Bella said her usual dark brown locks fit her "darker personality". Despite that, she's more than keen to try new shades when those opportunities come about.
