I thought I wanted a Valentine this year (shock horror that I don't already have one, I know) but as turns out, I actually don't need one; firstly, that is because I am a boss ass bi*tch who doesn't need no man *gently wipes tear* and secondly, because all my love is being poured into the admiration I have for Lana Del Rey's new blonde hair colour *bursts out into tears*.
Yep, you read that right – our coquette Queen has switched out her trademark brunette locks for a lighter, bleached look. But those not in favour of her new 'do, fear not for we expect it's only a temporary change... Alas, allow me to explain.
Announced just moments ago on social media, Kim Kardashian and her brand, SKIMS, shared that the latest celebrity to front their recent Valentine's Day campaign is Miss Lana. For this, they shared the campaign imagery and to our surprise, Lana is donning a fresh blonde hair look.
While not peroxide in tone, we're completely obsessed with the caramel blonde hue and dark shadow root. Transformative in some sense yet subtle in others.
Now, what makes us think that blonde Lana is only fleeting is the fact that this shoot would have been carried out weeks, if not months ago, meaning that a dramatic hair change as such would require a lot of commitment. In other words, we're sure that our girl has many other work/brand commitments that most probably favour her signature darker tresses!
Though, having said that, her IG feed says otherwise, seeing as she hasn't yet shared a selfie with either blonde or brunette locks. So, as always, we're willing to be proven wrong!
Everyone's clicking on...
I guess only time and constant social media stalking will tell, ey?
