Earlier this year, we saw a surge in numbers when it came to celebrities rocking the bob haircut – whether it be choppy, asymmetrical or shaggy, we (read: the A-Listers) covered Every. Single. Style. So much so, that when the transformations dropped off circa two weeks ago, the world felt uneasy. My world, that is.

However, thanks to Eva Longoria's recent 'do, all is well and good over on the Cosmo Beauty desk. Restoration via a Desperate Housewife, who'd of thought it?

Taking to the Cannes Film Festival overnight, the American actor hit the red carpet with a shorter-than-usual hair look. May the following Instagram post be the very face of a long blunt bob:

"EVA BOB-GORIA 🔥 Sleek bob for stunning @evalongoria last night in Cannes film festival!," celebrity hairstylist and creator of said look, Dimitris Giannetos writes in the caption of his post.

As shown, Dimitris has styled Eva's shoulder-length cut pin-straight and with a deep side parting which gives a sharp 90s edge to the look, while still feeling very fresh and current. Très chic.

Eva's makeup artist for the night, the one and only Ash K Holm also took to the 'Gram to share a video of the star's glam beat.

Everyone's clicking on...

The glossy nude lip, smokey cat eye and fluffy lash combination are not only timeless but gorgeous, too. The trio really snapped with the one.

Oh, and for old time's sake, let's throw it back to the 2008 Alma Awards, aka, the last time we saw Eva with short locks.

Slaying then and slaying now. Gabrielle forever.
